About Duane Basch

As a Patent Attorney at Dawson Law Firm, Duane helps clients of all types and sizes understand and protect their intellectual property assets in the form of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

Duane has a range of experience across various technologies having worked as an engineer for a decade before transitioning to a career in Intellectual Property law. Duane uses his technical and legal experience to assist clients with strategizing and navigating through the development, protection, licensing, and/or enforcement of their intellectual property rights. Duane is admitted to practice as a Patent Attorney before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and is also admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Connecticut. Duane also maintains his registration as a licensed Professional Engineer in New York state.
